Hi Everyone! For those of you I haven’t met, I’m Anne. I work with Christina to capture those cherished images of your children… and I love it! I’m very excited to announce a new blog feature we’re calling “Fashion Fridays”. It’s been in the works for months and we are excited to finally get it out to everyone!
We’ll provide thoughts, ideas, pictures and other fun stuff on putting together clothing options for your session! Although the kiddos and families that come to the studio always look amazing it’s fun to see what else is out there and what other people are wearing. I would love your comments, discussion and feedback as we go along as I know you all have lots of great ideas, too!
For those of you that are on Pinterest {we love it}… you can follow Christina as she pins some of her favorite looks on her clients- CM Fashion Board.

We’ve included some looks to bring you from summer to fall, so depending on what look you’re going for, here are some ideas for this transitional time. We love layering as it adds nice texture and depth to a picture. Generally speaking it’s best to steer clear of tops with a lot of words or pictures as it can detract from those adorable little faces!
For boys a collar shirt under a sweater or a stripe shirt under a solid button down adds a nice little pop of color. People often ask if it’s ok for their boys to wear jeans, and absolutely positively…YES! Jeans are adorable on little boys…rolled or cuffed, or just as is. Boys and jeans just go together!
For girls, we love a jacket with a tank or a cute pattern dress with a cozy sweater over it. If you have a few children in the picture it’s nice to choose a pattern for one child and then coordinate solid colored outifts with the others. Too much pattern can distract from the focus of the picture…the kids! But a little punch of color adds interest and a jumping off point for other outfit choices.
Boots are great for girls and moms, and are really cute paired with a dress or fitted pants. Most importantly choose something that fits your style and comfort level. It’s your picture and it should reflect what you and your family are all about!

So we were blessed with a warm & gorgeous summer and now fall is here! It’s been a busy few weeks! We photographed 155 adorable little ones for the Edelweiss Baby Model Search in late August followed by lots of fun sessions in the studio!
I took a “family break” the past few weeks before my kiddies started school! It was a big September in our household! Taylor started Kindergarten last week & our “baby” Addison started her first year of preschool this morning. Lets just say {sniff sniff…. SOB… yes lots of tears & yes all by me}. They just grow up way too fast! M
{My words of wisdom for today} Even if it’s not by me…{have your children photographed}…{have your family photographed}…{captured being you}…{documented being your family}. There is nothing more important than family & I promise you will never regret having too many pictures.
Here is a snapshot of Taylor & Addison’s first days of school! Taylor had a hot & sunny day {and he was a bit crabby from being up early}… today we had to wear jackets for Addison’s! Fall is here!

We were back in the studio this morning & soon the fall season will be full swing! Between lots of family fall sessions & another huge baby rush headed our way we will be quite busy. We are looking forward to seeing all our old clients & meeting all the new ones too! Note: we have very limited sessions for 2011…fall sessions have been booking like hot cakes! Have a great day! xo
